InBio was the proud recipient of the 2026 Virginia Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award which recognizes successful and innovative efforts that Improve Virginia’s environment.

InBio has embedded environmental sustainability into its operations for over a decade, achieving measurable reductions in energy use, emissions, and waste through the multifaceted Environmental Sustainability Program.

Highlights of the sustainability program include installing a solar system that has offset 30-47% of annual building energy, diverging 2,308lbs of lab plastics from landfills, and investing in employees green practices at home through a reimbursement program. Find more details here.
